KS4 Performance Information

We are delighted with our headline figure of 57.5% A* to C including English and Maths grades 9 to 4 which gives the best like for like comparison of KS4 examination results at this current time; it is our best result which has been steadily improving over the last four years. Our pupils should be exceedingly proud of their achievements; we have a 100% pass rate of pupils gaining at least 1A* to G / 9 to 1  grade; our “Basics” measure has increased to 60% with 12.8% of passes in both English and Maths at the new high level of grades 7 to 9 with 1.6% at grade 9. In recent years we have had a focus on English and with the removal of Controlled Assessments we have developed key skills and knowledge in both English Language and Literature; both subjects have increased outcomes with English Language moving from 61% to 67% and English Literature improving from 56% to 73% which when combined gives the “Best English” performance measure of 77%. We also had strong performances in the STEM subjects of Science including Computer Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths as well as in the EBacc subjects which at 27% is likely to be above the national average once again. We have had some stunning individual performances with 52% of pupils attaining 8 or more A* to C and 9 to 4 grades; 45 pupils gained at least 1 grade at A* with 11 of them also gaining at least 1 grade 9. We are looking forward to welcoming many of our pupils back into our Sixth Form in September and we wish all our students the very best in their future choices.

KS5 Performance Information

It was a pleasure to see our Year 13 leaners return for their A Level and Vocational Level results which once again are in line with the national average with learners gaining an average A Level score of a grade C and significantly achieving a grade A/B for Vocational subjects. After an anxious couple of hours on results day for two learners awaiting notification from “Clearing”, we have 100% of our leaners going on to study at University they applied for and all others going on to apprenticeship, college or employment. Over 53% of A Level entries were awarded grades A* to B with a very strong performance in the STEM subjects and nearly 90% of Vocational entries were awarded the top grades of Distinction* or Distinction. There were some stunning individual performances with one learner attaining 2 A levels at grade A* and two at grade A; two leaners attaining 4 A Levels at Grade A and eleven other learners gaining at least 1 A or A*; twenty-one learners attained at least three grades at Distinction *. We are delighted our learners have achieved so much and that their hard work has brought them the rewards they deserve. We wish all our leaners well for the future.
