GCSE English Literature: Controlled Assessment Day
Tuesday 2 February 2016
Our next whole school Personal Development Day is on Tuesday 2 February and we have planned for all of Year 11 to focus on their GCSE controlled assessment in English Literature. Every student is expected to attend.
You are invited to our Year 9 Option Choices Evening on Thursday 4 February. The purpose of the evening is to provide information to help your son/daughter choose the courses they will study in Years 10 and 11. It is the main opportunity for parents/carers to visit subject areas and discuss course details with specialist teachers and is, therefore, a key evening on the school calendar.
Each year we organise a range of rewards for students as part of our Positive Behaviour Strategy. One of the annual rewards is an opportunity to go on a ‘Rewards Trip’; which typically has been to Alton Towers and Flamingoland.
Further to the information included in the Year 9 newsletter distributed before the holiday, to support your son/daughter with options choices for GCSE, we are able to offer an additional evening, prior to the full Options Evening on Thursday 4 February.
Year 11 Leavers Ball – Thursday 14 July 2016 at Hollins Hall Hotel, Baildon
We are delighted to invite your son/daughter to our Year 11 Leavers Ball, a special evening that is an opportunity for our students to celebrate their time at Titus Salt School.
