14-16 Options Choices Booklet 2017

The purpose of this booklet is to help you think about the subjects you want to study in Years 10 and 11. Through discussions with your parents/carers, subject teachers and Form Tutor you need to decide on subjects that will suit you. It is also important to keep your options open for further study beyond age 16 and for your career progression routes.

Titus Salt School is a very popular choice for families and since 1990 we have been oversubscribed; every year taking more than our intended number of pupils.

High Attendance means High Achievement

Aim for your child to be in school at least 96% of the time.
Pupils with more than 96% attendance gain the best results at GCSE, BTEC and AS/A2 Level. Therefore, being in lessons means pupils will achieve success.

Apprenticeships combine practical training in a job with study. As an apprentice you'll gain job-specific skills, earn a wage and get time for study related to your role (usually one day a week)

Support for Pupils with Complex Learning Needs

Additional Provision

We are in our tenth year of providing increased support for pupils with Complex Learning Needs

Titus Salt School was selected as the first secondary school in Bradford to provide Designated Specialist Provision (DSP) to enable the successful inclusion of an increased range of pupils with complex learning difficulties in a mainstream school. We are currently undergoing an expansion programme to increase our capacity from 15 to 30.

The E-safety Leaflet for pupils, parents and carers.

This is an e-safety guide created by the Digital leaders and Mr Ali to keep parents up to date with the latest issues in regards to social media.

The booklet is a guide to aid parents and give them tips and hints on social media that their children might be accessing on a daily basis.

Innovate menus run on a 3 week rota and will remain the same during that term. Menus are changed every term, for example a new menu will be available after the Easter holidays.

Outdoor Education forms an important part of life at Titus Salt School and includes activities completed both in school time and after in a range of groups and clubs. Here is a brief taste of some of the activities.

The group is an opportunity for parents/carers to find out more information about specific issues which can affect students within school, and is a place for valuable feedback.  During each meeting we will focus on a different aspect of school life, and there we be a question and answer session.
