We are delighted to announce the launch of our anthology produced in collaboration with First Story; a national charity dedicated to empowering young writers through writer-in-residence opportunities. We are one of 18 secondary schools in the region that have undertaken this programme.

Over the last year, pupils have been working with acclaimed writer Andy Craven-Griffiths to develop all of the pieces in this book and we are launching it to parents cand carers on 10 July 2017.

At TSS we share First Story’s belief in the power of writing and the impact it can have to build the self-confidence, skills and aspirations of our pupils. This event is important as it marks the significance of our student’s achievements and offers them the chance to celebrate and share their stories with the wider community.

The Launch will include readings from the pupils as well as a video that the pupils have created about their experiences of being part of this amazing project. Pupils will get to sign their very own copy of their published work.

We have also requested the presence of local dignitaries, as well as parents/carers and staff to join us in this celebration.
