Dragons, boats, cannons and bikes are this year’s themes on the graffiti wall in Roberts Park. This year, pupils in Years 8 and 9 took part, designing with the Dragon Boat Festival, and the Tour de Yorkshire in mind. Their designs came to life with the help of Si Mitchell, a professional street artist, who guided them through the techniques behind street art.

Everyone who took part really enjoyed the project, and developed their artistic skills too! Ian Dobson, Heritage Parks Officer, was very impressed with the pupils’ work and was full of praise for their community effort!
