Download pdfWe have an exciting opportunity for an Attendance Safeguarding Officer to work alongside our Attendance Safeguarding Manager to ensure effective attendance and safeguarding practice across the school and to help maintain high standards of attendance.
The successful candidate will be required to support the work of the Attendance Safeguarding Manager on the day-to-day management of attendance data in SIMS. They will use this data to respond to any absences by sending messages, making phone calls to parents/carers and carrying out home visits. There will be a particular focus on vulnerable pupils.
They will work with Pastoral Teams to analyse attendance data, recognising any concerns and addressing these by developing strategies for engagement with pupils and families, while following our attendance policy. This will include meeting with pupils and families in school and conducting home visits to ensure the wellbeing of pupils and to support them in coming back into school. This is an important role that requires an experienced self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, a friendly and professional approach and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. The successful candidate must hold a full driving licence and have their own vehicle.

The successful candidate will have an interest in helping support pupils to achieve their best in both internal and external examinations and be pro-active in providing assistance with the setting-up of exam rooms and ensuring exam regulations are adhered to at all times.
This is an important role that requires self-motivated individuals with excellent communication skills, a friendly and professional approach as well as having basic IT skills. You should be flexible and available for morning and afternoon exams as and when required. The post will involve long periods of sitting and standing.
Full mandatory training will be given to successful candidates. This is a great opportunity to join our Exams team on a casual basis.
