Admin Assistant with First Aid 

Band 7 (SCP 11 – 17) 37 hours per week, term time only + 5 days
Actual Salary:  £24,202 to £27,175
Actual hours of work:  8am-4pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-3.30pm Friday

This is an exciting role within our school and the successful applicant will have patience, a sense of humour and an ability to relate positively to young people, providing smooth and efficient running of the school’s general administrative support. The successful candidate will join a very supportive Admin Operations Team which is overseen by the Admin Operations Manager.

You will be expected to manage a varied workload ensuring administrative needs relating to all aspects of school administration, and pupil services are met.  A good level of literacy, numeracy and ICT are essential, along with the ability to prioritise your workload whilst working on own initiative. You will also be required to cover first aid duties (full training will be given) along with a wide variety of matters including contact with pupils, staff and parents/carers and extensive use of SIMS and related software.

We are an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with outstanding facilities, a state of the art learning environment; we are extremely popular and oversubscribed.  The school is within easy reach of Leeds, Huddersfield and Wakefield and the surrounding district.

We are looking to appoint a Science Technician who is flexible in approach, reliable, well organised and enjoys variety in their role, to provide general support to staff and pupils within the Science Faculty.  The successful applicant will not only provide practical support but will be confident in the use of ICT systems and software for the purposes of stock control, production of teaching resources and general administrative work.

This role is crucial to ensuring our pupils’ hard work is supported by effective support systems, coupled with an understanding of maximising achievement. You must be able to relate well to pupils, staff and parents and maintain confidentiality. A good level of literacy, numeracy and ICT is essential, as is patience, a sense of humour and an ability to relate positively to young people. Previous experience of working with pupils in the 11-16 age range would be an advantage.
