Message from Mr Bird - dated June 2020

RE: Work experience placements for years 10 and 12 during July this year.

I have received notification earlier this week from Xperience- the company that organise placements for schools within Bradford authority that due to the situation regarding CVD19, work experience placements will not take place this academic year.

Whilst this is not unexpected it is nevertheless a major disappointment for us all and I feel sorry for those students who have worked so hard to find one.

For those post-16 students who are doing BTEC courses which require placements as part of their course I have received no guidance yet on this matter. I will update you when I receive any information on this but I would ask you not to worry.

Anyone who has organised placements on their own time e.g. the summer holidays may wish to contact me to discuss this.

I will be in contact if I receive any other news and also post this update on the school website.

Apprenticeships combine practical training in a job with study. As an apprentice you'll gain job-specific skills, earn a wage and get time for study related to your role (usually one day a week)
